Canyoning at Kawasan Falls – Moalboal

Kawasan Falls Adventure

Kawasan Falls is a well known destination near Moalboal in the provice of Cebu, Philippines. It has a canyoning adventure that comes up with different package based on the activities you would like depending on the stamina you have.

The entrance is located beside the Sto. Tomas De Villanueva Parish (Matutinao Church). A tourist guide (optional) will accompany you until you reach the area where you can select the adventures you want. This includes scrambling, rock hopping and trekking, cliff jumping and water slides with corresponding price and length of time per activity. They also provides a life jacket to all individual entering the area for safety reasons.

As a couple, we decided to take the shortest time and route as we both know the level of stamina we have which is estimated to be a 1 hours activity which is the cliff jumping and water slides. They provided us the safety gears, trekking shoes and an all around travel guide which take every photos and moments we have.

Kawasan Falls

We went first to the Kawasan Falls where we truly admired the beauty of nature. Water falls sound echoing over the place, birds chirping above trees, and many more stress relieving sensation while swimming on its cool crystal clear water.

Second destination has a cliff jumping activity with 3, 5 and 10 meter height depending on your choice. Fortunately, because of the braveness and support of our travel guide, we took 3 and 5 meter height to test our cliff jumping skills. We took an individual and couple jump which was recorded for several times due to, let’s say, human error.

The 3rd on list was a water slide activity. We had a rough time take turns due to a crowded area mainly because it’s a less traumatizing activity (based on both of us). We also took a couple water slide where she pushed me downward when we reached the water surface. Well, I don’t blame her, she wanted to live longer 🙂 .

Here you can see her(behind the guys with head gears) struggles to experience the water slide.

Lastly, a rope swing + jump activity which we really loved out of all the activities we made. You will take a 10 step stairs, grab the rope, swing and jump on the other side of the swing to experience a heart-stopper-brain-dead experience. Unfortunately, no photos and videos was captured by our guide since we both run out of batteries.

Overall experience was a one of a kind. We feel with the nature during that time as we take different challenges and face some of our fears together. And we also set a record of 3 hour accomplishment for a good for 1 hour activity. By the way, we are in mid 20’s. Lol.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
